Woman’s Club of Exeter Township’s spring fashion show is a hit

Pushing for a fashion forward spring, the Woman’s Club of Exeter Township are inviting in the season. The woman’s group host a Spring Fashion Show to promote the newest design and raise funds for the library. The annual event took place on Saturday, March 15 at the Reading County Club, to benefit the Exeter Community Library. With over 200 women, including some school aged daughters, the Reading County Club was packed with an excitement for spring. The morning began at 11 a.m., where the silent auction and raffle were open for bid. Throughout the day, raffle winners were chosen at random to win donated prizes of handmade shawls and scarfs, wine cork corkboards, shoes, paintings, a teacup flower arrangement, gift cards from local businesses, and more. Lunch was held at noon, with the fashion show beginning at 1 p.m. Modeling the fashions were Joan Antush, Janet Faust, Kristen Heller, Gail Kogut, Liz McWilliams and Marlene Stubler. The styles and outfits were provided by Wyomissing shops Christopher & Banks, Chico’s, Talbot’s, and Dress Barn. Hair designs and make-up were provided by Boscov’s Beauty Salon. The Woman’s Club of Exeter Township are strong supports of the Exeter Community Library. Their monthly meetings are held the second Wednesdays of the month, September through April 7 p.m. at the library.
