The Berks County District Attorney’s Crime Unit initiated an investigation into the operation of “Jane’s Spa Oriental Massage”, located at 8468 Allentown Pike, Suite #5, Blandon
Jiang Yanyan, 38, of Blandon, has been charged with Criminal Solicitation, Prostitution and Related Offenses.
In January of 2015, detectives from the Berks County District Attorney’s Crime Unit initiated an investigation into the operation of “Jane’s Spa Oriental Massage”, located at 8468 Allentown Pike, Suite #5, Blandon. The investigation was initiated by civilian complaints regarding possible prostitution taking place.
On Feb. 26, an undercover detective met with the aforementioned defendant inside the massage parlor. During this meeting, the defendant agreed to perform sexual services on the undercover detective in exchange for U.S. currency.
On Feb. 28, Detectives obtained a search warrant for the premises of Jane’s Spa Oriental Message. The search warrant was for any and all items that could be utilized to further prostitution in a house of prostitution. Additionally, detectives obtained a warrant of arrest for Jiang Yanyan.
On March 2, at 3 p.m., Berks County Detectives and ICE agents executed a search warrant. The defendant was found inside and placed under arrest. A search was conducted and the following items were seized: surveillance cameras, approximately $12,000 in U.S. currency, and numerous documents and various items associated with the utilization and facilitation of the act of prostitution.
Yanyan was transported to the Berks County Sheriff’s Department Central Processing Unit for processing and preliminary arraignment. She was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Hadzick. Bail was set at $10,000. She was committed to Berks County Jail System in lieu of that bail.
