The Pennsylvania State Police at Reading are investigating an emergency plane landing that occurred on Aug. 1 at 1:19 p.m. on Ernst Road in Centre Township.

A two-seated plane, operated by a commercial pilot and instructor, as well as private pilot, was flying out of Reading and had to make an emergency landing in a field due to unknown engine problems. The landing off of Ernst Road caused minor property damage. The two pilots involved, a 47-year-old male and 55-year-old female, were uninjured.

An investigation is ongoing.
