State Police: Two charged with DUI, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia

State Police, Hamburg report that two men, ages 22 and 20, were charged with DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Nov. 28 at 1:52 a.m., the 22-year-old man from Leesport (names were withheld by police) was observed driving a vehicle that was weaving back and forth and failing to maintain the lane of travel on Old Route 22 from Hamburg Borough to Monument Road in Windsor Township.

A traffic stop was initiated and the odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle interior.

The Leesport man was found to be under the influence of marijuana and a marijuana pipe and gummy candies suspected to contain LSD were located in his possession.

The 20-year-old man from Hamburg was found to be in possession of a marijuana pipe.

Charges are pending against both men in District Court 23-3-06.
