Families looking for a Halloween alternative – and lots of fun – are invited to the 2016 Petra Fall Fest at Petra Church, New Holland, on Friday, Oct. 28, from 5 to 9 p.m. All are welcome, and everything but the optional purchase of food from food trucks is free!

Attractions run the gamut from carnival games and crafts to a hay pile and train rides. There will be a number of inflatables for all ages to climb and jump on, and a Kidz’ Korner with games and crafts designed especially for toddlers and preschool-aged kids.

A special feature this year is a set of performances by the DKers, a Christian juggling duo – Darren Horst and Kevin McCulley – from our area. Open-air performances will take place at 6, 7, and 8 p.m.

Plenty of “fall food” will be offered, including hot chocolate, whoopee pies, kettle corn, caramel apples, and French fries. Guests will be able to roast hot dogs and make s’mores over open bonfires.

In case of rain, the Petra Fall Fest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 3 to 7 p.m.

Petra is located at 565 Airport Road, New Holland, about a mile south of Route 23 by way of Kinzer Avenue or Ranck Road.
