Oct. 25Halloween Parade: The Daniel Boone Optimist Club’s parade starts at 6:30 p.m. ?Tuesday, at Lake Drive Recreation Area in Douglassville. Registration starts at 5:30.

Now through Oct. 29Ghost Lantern Tours: Crystal Cave in October and experience the Halloween cave tour by a different light. Guides, wearing Victorian clothing, present a re-creation of the original Crystal Cave tour from the 1870′, guided by the glow of hand-held lantern light. Go back in time and hear actual ghost stories and folklore about the haunted cave that have never been part of the modern day tour. This unique tour is intensified by being underground in the dark. “Ghost” Lantern Tours will be held Oct. 121,22,28, and 29, at 5:30 p.m.. Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for children age 8-11. Oct. 28Trunk or Treat : Robeson Lutheran Church and Preschool will sponsor a Trunk or Treat for children and their families in the church parking lot from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. The church is located at Rte. 10 and Plow Road in Plowville (between Morgantown and Reading). There will be refreshments, games, and crafts for the children.

Oct. 31Honey Brook American Legion, Post 422: the ladies of the auxiliary will be wearing Halloween costumes and will be playing Halloween music. There will be no games or refreshments. We will be just a regular “stop” for the children to pick up candy. We are planning to obtain full size candy bars, and we will also have a basket of candy for children with allergies such as nuts or gluten.

Nov. 2Community Night: at Robeson Lutheran Church and Wednesday, Nov. 2 featuring Kate Harms, the Bat Lady, from Rodale Institute in Kutztown. She will explain the myths and facts about bats as well as what we can do to help their survival. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. with the program from 6:30-7 p.m. A free will offering will be collected. Holiday Bazaar: will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s UMC – 1136 Geigertown Road, Birdsboro PA 19508. We are looking for craft vendors for the day of the event.
