St. Mark’s Episcopal Church at 1040 Chestnut Tree Road in Honey Brook is holding its annual Holiday Bazaar and Merchant Fair on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The elves have kept their fingers busy all year creating beautiful hand-made items to purchase, and give as gifts.

The many items for young children include cloth books, colorful knitted hats and mittens. Crocheted doll dresses and unique animals such as turtles, ducks and giraffes will also available.

Men can be difficult to buy for but there will be hand-made soap with no scent for those who hunt, and manly-scented soap for those who don’t, among a variety of other items.

The ladies are much easier to shop for and there are plenty of ideas from which to choose. The popular Premier Design jewelry will be offered along with beautiful runners for your home, and colorful hair ties and bracelets. Knitted scarves, including the popular infinity scarves, and hand-made jewelry will also be available.

Raffle items this year include a large Victorian doll house, a church steeple bird feeder, a queen-sized bed quilt to keep you warm, and a vibrant table runner with bright blue and yellow to keep you smiling.

Beautifully crafted by church member, Eileen Owens, the purple Victorian doll house would make the perfect gift for a little girl.

Hand made with care and beautifully painted, the church steeple bird feeder would be a wonderful addition to your back yard.

Black with hand-appliqued gold stars, the quilt will generously fit a queen-sized bed. It is hand-quilted and aptly named “Miriam’s Star.”

The 2 1/2 foot table runner looks like flowers tied together, and is made with vibrant colors of blue, yellow, and black, reminiscent of stained glass. It would look lovely on your table all year round.

Each of these items would be a wonderful addition to a home.

Tickets are $2 each, or six tickets for $10. The winning tickets will be drawn on Sunday, Nov. 26, right in time to give as Christmas gifts.

A white elephant table with many Christmas and household items will also be available for the bargain shoppers.

Proceeds from the Christmas Bazaar and Merchant Fair will be used to help members of the community in a variety of projects and events. A percentage of the money this year will be donated to the church organ fund.

Many happy shoppers began their Christmas shopping early at St. Mark’s Christmas Bazaar last year, and left with their bags full. Please join us this year and get a head start again. Drinks and light refreshments will be available.
