An evening of Bluegrass Music will be held at the Reinholds Fire Company Banquet Hall along Route 897 in Reinholds on Saturday, March 3, beginning at 6 pm. Featured will be The Feinberg Brothers along with Chester Johnson and The Foggy Mountain Grass.
The Feinberg Brothers are a bluegrass duo from Long Island, NY. Brothers Rourke and Patrick are among the top young bluegrass artists in the North Eastern United States. Having grown up with the sounds of bluegrass throughout their home, the love of the music came quickly. It also didn’t hurt to have some of the area’s best musicians come to the house to pick, giving the boys easy access to a wealth of talent. By the age of 7 and 9, the brothers were invited to do guest appearances with Terry McGill and Straight Drive and also Danny Paisley & The Southern Grass. By blending their bluegrass roots with a classical training background, they have delighted audiences with their sheer tight harmonies and masterful guitar, fiddle and mandolin playing ever since.
Peter Elegant has consistently been a part of the bluegrass scene playing banjo, fiddle rhythm guitar and bass as well as singing vocal parts. Terry McGill has been playing 5 string banjo since the age of 13. He has performed coast to coast with many different bands. He has also authored a book of banjo tunes played in alternate tunings. Ron Feinberg (guitar and vocals) claims to be the oldest brother of Rourke( fiddle) and Patrick (mandolin). Ron has been performing bluegrass music almost 30 years and has appeared with a host of artists including Bill Monroe, The Lewis Family and Mac Wiseman.
Doors open at 5 pm. Music starts at 6 pm. There are requested donation amounts per person ($15.00) with a lower cost ($10.00) for teens age 13 to 17 and children 12 and under are free.
