State Rep. Sam Rohrer (R-128) has recently been named minority chairman for the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee.According to a Dec. 24 press release, the state representative will be overseeing legislation that affects food safety, farmers' markets, weights and measures, farmland preservation and other issues related to the farming industry.
Rohrer, who is serving his ninth term as a state representative, said that he chose to chair the committee.
