Lena A. (Pilgert) DeLong, 90

Lena A. (Pilgert) DeLong, 90, formerly of Topton, died May 23, 2012 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Luther W. DeLong who died March 28, 2008.

Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Albert E. and Verna E. (Miller) Pilgert. Mrs. DeLong was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown.

Lena was a graduate of the former Longswamp High School.

She worked in the cafeteria of Brandywine Heights Area School District 21 years until her retirement in 1983.

Survivors: Son, Leonard T., husband of Sheila M. (Moyer) DeLong, Topton. There are also two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, LaVerna N. DeLong in 1951.

Private grave side services in Longswamp Union Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
