Have you ever considered becoming a hospice volunteer? Hospice of Lancaster County is offering Adult Volunteer Training on Mondays and Thursdays, August 6-27,

9 a.m. – noon, at Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster.

No previous experience with hospice care is required—just a genuine commitment to make a positive impact upon the lives of patients and their families. There are a variety of ways volunteers can help. In addition to providing companionship to patients living at home, in a nursing home, or one of Hospice of Lancaster County’s Inpatient Care facilities, there are a number of volunteer opportunities including: Pet Therapy, Music Support, Labor Day Auction volunteers, Office volunteers and Green Thumb volunteers, who care for the grounds at Hospice of Lancaster County and also at patients’ homes.

For an application packet call (717) 295-3900 and ask to speak with a Volunteer Coordinator. Deadline to apply is July 25.
