The Honey Brook Fire Company recently announced that it has been awarded a federal grant by FEMA in the amount of $23,698 as part of the Staffing for Adequate Fire Emergency Response (SAFER) Grants Program.

This grant will be used for recruitment and retention of current and future members for the Honey Brook Fire Company over the next three years, to publish information to the general public on how they can help the Honey Brook Fire Company, and also to create programs for the current members who volunteer countless hours of their time to provide the community with their services.

Honey Brook Fire Company has been awarded three federal grants in the last four years, with the previous two being for the exhaust removal system installed in the fire house, and a Hydraulic Rescue Tool replacement grant.
