Centerport Lions Club. Jamming Sessions will be held every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. Music starts at 5:30 p.m. All musicians welcome.

Senior Citizens Club of Hamburg. The Hamburg Seniors meet at 2 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in the Hamburg Area Middle School cafeteria. If school is canceled on the meeting day because of bad weather, the meeting is canceled.

Hamburg Public Library Story Time: The Hamburg Public Library has story time on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. for ages 18 months through 3 years old. At 11 a.m. there is story time for preschoolers and home schooled early elementary. The schedule is available on the librarys website at

Hamburg Public Library Board Meetings: Library board meetings are held the second Tuesdays except July. Public encouraged to attend.


Chestnut Knoll Assisted Living, 120 W. Fifth Street, Boyertown, hosts a monthly family support group for those who are coping with Alzheimers disease. It is affiliated with the Alzheimers Association and is held on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.

2013 Art Raffle presented by Hamburg Area Arts Alliance. Buy a ticket and take a chance! Tickets will be on sale until September 17. Proceeds benefit the Hamburg Area Arts Alliance. Drawing will be held on September 18. Winners will be notified by phone. Contact the Hamburg Area Arts Alliance at 610-562-3106 with any questions. There is a cost per ticket. Winners pick artwork in the order they were drawn.

What You Need to Know: Preparation for Breastfeeding class

From 7-8:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Medical Center. This class is designed to help get breastfeeding off to a great start by dispelling myths, teaching evidence-based current information and some practical tips for the family. The Hamburg Rotary Club will be sponsoring a community Health Screen at Hamburg Middle School, Windsor Street, from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Health Screen is a preventive health program that can determine if you have current or potential health problems. There is a cost for both the Health Screen and Optional tests. 2nd Annual Car Exhibition

Hamburg Arts Festival features the 2nd Annual Car Exhibition on 4th and Pine Streets, Downtown Hamburg from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Antique Class 1959 and earlier, Classic Class 1960 to 1987. Finish up your masterpiece and get ready to roll. Every participant will receive a dash plaque. There is a pre-registration cost and day of show cost to register. 5th Anniversary Celebration at The Reading Railroad Heritage Museum

The public is invited to the celebration at 500 South Third Street, Hamburg from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free admission.
