Honey Brook Twp, PA—The Memoir Writing Group at Tel Hai will share stories from their 2013 workshop on Friday, May 31 at one o’clock in the Garrett Community Center’s Gathering Room. The campus is located off Beaver Dam Road, east of Route 10 in Honey Brook Township.

The session is presented by Tel Hai’s Life Enrichment Committee (LEC). The memoir group has published three anthologies since 2009. Group facilitator, Donna McLay, started the workshop to help residents capture memories and life-lessons they wish to share with family and friends. The “Write Your Life” concept was an immediate hit and has regularly attracted a dozen or more wishing to share their stories effectively with others. Donna McLay, a life-long educator, has been a teacher and school administrator. As a Fellow of the National Writing Project and the PA Writing and Literature Project, she has held numerous memoir writing workshops in Berks and Lancaster counties over the years. She also facilitated groups from her studio at the Goggle Works Center for the Arts in Reading, PA.
