Alvernia University

The following local residents were among 14 students who earned Excellence in Service Awards from Alvernia’s Holleran Center for Community Engagement, by completing more than 100 hours of community service in the last year.

Harlee Ehrets, of Bernville, a freshman Biochemistry major.

Justin Padinske, of Mohrsville, a junior General Science major.

Elizabethtown College recognized the accomplishments of the class of 2013 on Saturday, May 18.

The following local students received degrees from Elizabethtown College:

Joanna Davis, of Leesport, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Health & Occupation.

Kristi Noecker, of Mohrsville, graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biology - Allied Health.

Janis Umberger, of Hamburg, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
