Hamburg Borough Police
The Hamburg Borough Police report that a 17year old male juvenile, from Lancaster, was referred to Juvenile Court for Possession of Heroin. And a 17yearold female juvenile, from Lancaster, was referred to Juvenile Court for Possession of Marijuana. These charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred on June 5 at approx. 5p.m. on Rt. 61 in Hamburg during a routine traffic stop for an expired inspection and emission sticker.
The Hamburg Borough Police report that John Michael Reinert, 19, from the Hamburg area, was cited for Disorderly Conduct. This stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on June 6, at approx. 3:30p.m. in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store in Hamburg.
Simple Assualt and Harassment
The Hamburg Borough Police report that Heath M. Hussman, 32, from the Hamburg area, was arrested for Simple Assault and Harassment. These charges stem from an incident that occurred on June 7, at approx. 9:01p.m. in the 300 Block of Hilltop Court in Hamburg, where Hussman allegedly assaulted a 25yearold female.
Receiving Stolen Property
The Hamburg Borough Police report that Nathan Gerald Flick, 20, from Bellefonte, was arrested for Receiving Stolen Property. This charge stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on June 8 at approx. 10:58a.m., at the Hamburg Field House where Flick had in his possession 5 stolen python snakes.
Daniel Lee Muth, 43, of Hamburg, was stopped for a speeding violation on Old Route 22 at Hausman Rd. on May 13 at 7:59 p.m. It was determined he was DUI. Charges were filed at the office of MDJ Bagenstose.
Katlin M. Rice, 21, of Hazlet, struck the back end of the 2012 Mack trailer driven by Robert W. Allen, 47, of Danville, while executing a carless lane change on I-78 E at mile marker 11.1 on May 29 at 8:01 a.m. No injuries. Rice’s 2008 Toyota TC was disabled as a result of the crash and was towed from the scene. Rice was cited for Roadways Laned for Traffic.
Jody F. Wasilko, 50, of Hamburg, and a 41 year old female of Hamburg became involved in an argument on June 8 at 11 p.m. on Pottsville Pike in Hamburg. Wasilko grabbed the victim by the neck causing abrasions about her neck. The victim also suffered sweeling of her forehead after being pushed by Wasilko into the molding of a door. Wasilko was placed under arrese and transported to Berks Night Court. She was released on R.O.R.
Hit and Run
The crash occurred as an unknown driver was traveling west on Old Route 22 in Shartlesville on June 6 at 1:15 a.m. approximately 96 feet west of 4th Street. A 2001 Ford F150 was parked facing west on the north shoulder in front of a residence on Old Route 22. The unknown vehicle struck the Ford pushing it partially onto the pavement. After impact the unknown driver fled the scene west on Old Route 22 and then turned north on Mountain Rd. heading towards I-78.
The vehicle is described as a red pick-up truck, possible a Dodge, driven by a white male. The pick-up will have damage to its right front. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg.
Russell Girard, Jr., 26, of Bernville, was observed operating a gold Chrysler Sebring and failed to stop at Mountain Roud and Old Route 22 in Bern Township on June 9 at 2 a.m. A traffic stop was initiated and it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending receipt of toxicology results.
Michele L. Clark, 46, of Shoemakersville, was driving her 2002 Hyundai Accent and stuck the rear end of a 2003 Honda Civic belonging to Antonio Donato, 55, of Reading, on June 10 at 4:38 p.m. on Pottsville Pike approximately 1/4 mile north of Zions Church Rd. in Perry Twp. The crash occurred on a wet roadway as traffic slowed on the approach to a previous crash scene. Both vehicles were driveable following the crash. Donato was transported to Reading Hospital by Blandon EMS for neck discomfort. Clark to be cited for Driving Too Fast for Conditions.
Sam R. Detweiler, 35, of Schuylkill Haven, lost control of his 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer on the wet roadway of Pottsville Pike approximately 1/2 mile north of Zions Church Rd. in Perry Township on June 10 at 9:37 p.m. The vehicle then crossed into the oncoming traffic lane where it collided with a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Jennifer L. Zettlemoyer, 28, of Kempton, which had been traveling north on 61. Both vehicles were disabled as a result of the collision. Both drivers were taken to Reaing and St. Joseph’s hospitals by Hamburg and Schuylkill Vally EMS for treatment. Detweiler to be cited for Driving Too Fast for Conditions.
Chrisson Aristilde, 25, of Leesport, was drving a 2004 Mazda 3 on Pottsville Pike in Windsor Township on June 10 at 3:55 p.m. when the vehicle struck the rear end of a 2013 Chebrolet Cuze driven by Kimberly A. Martin, 41, of New Philadelphia, who was stopped in the left of travel to make a turn. Both vehicles were disabled as a result of the crash and were towed fromt he scene. Martin and a 13 year old passenger sustained minor injuries. Aristilde to be charged with causing injury while Driving While DUI Suspended and for Driving Too Fast for Conditions.
