May 26:Police investigated the report of Theft from Vehicle after items were reported missing from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked at a residence in the 200 block of E. Main St.

May 29:Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to steps of a building at Bentley Holding Group, LP, 334 W. Main St.

Police arrested Donald Kruise, 28 of Bensalem, for Public Drunkenness following an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Railroad St.

May 30:Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to the wall of a building at the Kutztown Borough Train Station, 110 Railroad St.

Pennsylvania State Police to Participate in 6-State Trooper Project

The Pennsylvania State Police is participating in the 6-State Trooper Project, a multi-state enforcement effort targeting distracted driving June 16 through June 22. Troopers will be on the lookout for violations that may be caused by distracted driving, including speeding, unsafe lane changes and tailgating.

Motorists in Pennsylvania are reminded that it is a summary offense to use a wireless communication device to compose, send or read a text message while operating a motor vehicle. The violation is a summary offense that is punishable with a $50 fine.

The 6-State Trooper Project is a multi-state law enforcement partnership aimed at providing and combining resources, intelligence, and unified enforcement efforts. It includes the Pennsylvania State Police, Michigan State Police, Kentucky State Police, Ohio State Highway Patrol, West Virginia State Police and Indiana State Police.
