RED HILL – In an effort to promote workforce and economic development in the 147th Legislative District, Rep. Marcy Toepel (R-Montgomery) encourages local businesses to learn more about state grants in which they might be eligible.
“The Workforce and Economic Development Network of Pennsylvania (WEDnetPA) has a proven track record of supporting and improving Pennsylvania’s most important resource – our workforce,” said Toepel. “That’s why I encourage local businesses to take advantage of the organization’s tools, which help develop the best workers in our Commonwealth.”
WEDnetPA was created to make companies across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania more competitive by updating and improving the skills of their employees to meet specific company needs.
Network partners are currently accepting applications for the Guaranteed Free Training program and working closely with companies to identify their most important training needs for the upcoming fiscal year.
Through this grant program – which is a Department of Community and Economic Development program funded through the Pennsylvania First line item in the budget – qualified in-state businesses and out-of-state companies relocating to Pennsylvania can access funding for a wide range of training categorized as either basic skills training or information technology training.
Toepel’s office in Red Hill has a supply of Guaranteed Free Training brochures for distribution to any interested constituents. Her office is located at 80 Gravel Pike, Unit A, and she and her staff can be contacted at (215) 679-3082. Details regarding this program can also be found on WEDnetPA’s website at wednetpa.com.
