PHOENIX Rehabilitation and Health Services, Inc. (PRHS) announces the hiring of a new occupational therapist/certified hand therapist at its clinic located at 21 South Pine Street in Elverson. Gretchen Roth, OTR/L, CHT, recently joined Facility Director, Daniel Fick, PT, MPT with the goal of continuing the company’s tradition of providing patients with one-on-one personalized care coupled with the use of the latest techniques and equipment in hand therapy services.
Roth is a graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University. She obtained her hand therapy certification in 1991. Throughout her 34 year career, Roth has provided occupational therapy and hand therapy services to a variety of patient populations. This enables her to have a thorough knowledge base in treating her patients while working closely with the referring physician in order to obtain maximum results. Roth’s experience includes the care of simple to complex upper extremity injuries such as repetitive motion injuries, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, fractures,post-surgical cases, arthritis, post-traumatic and sports-related injuries along with neurological impairments.
With this experienced rehabilitation team, patients can expect a treatment philosophy emphasizing manual therapy and patient education. Roth states, “I am committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. This requires me to stay current with the latest research and continuing education. I believe in listening to the patient’s goals and needs and working together as a team (physician, patient and therapist) to return the patient to maximum function.”
