Local Waynesburg University student named to dean's list

Kaitlyn A. Wood, of Honey Brook, has been named to the Deanís List at Waynesburg University for the spring term 2013. Wood, a freshman, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology (family studies).

The Deanís List is published at Waynesburg University in February and July. The honor recognizes students for outstanding academic achievement during the previous semester. Honorees must be classified as undergraduate students, be enrolled full-time with a load of 12 hours or more in graded courses, and must achieve a semester grade point average of at least 3.50 on a four-point scale.

Founded in 1849 by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Waynesburg University is located on a traditional campus in the hills of southwestern Pennsylvania, with three adult centers in the Pittsburgh region. The University is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) and is one of only 23 Bonner Scholar schools in the country, offering local, regional and international opportunities to touch the lives of others through service.
