Local author Glenn Banner will discuss his Civil War novel Flames across the Susquehanna, which chronicles the 1863 burning of the Columbia/Wrightsville Bridge, at Caernarvon Historical Society, 2148 Main Street, Churchtown, at 7:00 pm. Garden Spot Village invites the public to a free screening of three silent comedy shorts starring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy with live musical accompaniment provided by theater organist Wayne Zimmerman. Elverson Walking Club will complete its early morning series on the six mile Lenape Trail at French Creek.
