Speeding Lenhartsville motorcyclist strikes sign & embankment, flips

Motorcycle accident in Greenwich Twp.

This crash occurred on Aug. 30 at 11:07 p.m. on Krumsville Rd. east of Long Dam Rd. as a PSP Trooper was attempting to initiate a traffic stop on Cruz A. Lenhart, 35, of Lenhartsville for a speeding violation. Lenhart attempted to go south on SR 737. He failed to negotiate a left curve and traveled off of the right side of the roadway. He then struck a sign, after striking the sign he struck an embankment and flipped the motorcycle. He was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital for a minor injury by Kutztown Ambulance and released. Investigation continues.

Traffic Collision on Old Route 22

This crash occurred on Sept. 5 at 5:07 p.m. as Bradley Gammons, 40, of Kempton, was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Old Route 22 and Valley Road facing south. Shelby Stichter, 18, of Alburtis, was traveling west on Old Route 22 approaching the same intersection. Gammons pulled onto Old Route 22 into the path of Stichter and collided. Gammons and Stichter were not injured and both were wearing a seatbelt. The vehicles were both towed from the scene by a wrecker from VJ Wood.

Gammons will be cited for the crash through District Court 23-3-06.

Theft from Motor Vehicle

Actor(s) arrived at Christman Lake Community on Sept. 7 between 12:01 a.m. and 1 a.m. and stole items from two victims.

The actor(s) removed a Garmin GPS from the first victimís unlocked Ford Taurus in the 200 block of Lake View Ln. Actor(s) removed a purse belonging to the second victim from an unlocked 2007 Honda CRV in the 400 block of Mountain View Ln.

Actor(s) fled the scene undetected.

The second victimís purse was recovered on Coopers Way, Albany Twp. along with a black attache containing Optic Fiber Equipment. The GPS device is valued at $60 and approximately #25 in cash was taken from the purse.
