That is the message behind an upcoming program at the Reading Hospital School of Health Services.

The program is titled "Many Communities… One Message!" and will focus on different aspects of addiction, its impact on communities and the roads to recovery.

<![CDATA[Free Concert: Black Horse Motel brings folk music to Honey Brook Aug. 9]]> Honey Brook Borough's third concert of the free Concert in the Park series will be held on Sunday, Aug. 9 at 5:30 p.m. when Philadelphia-based Americana band Black Horse Motel takes the stage.

"The summer concert series began in 2010. I had attended other community outdoor summer concerts and really felt that Honey Brook needed live music in the park," said Park and Recreation Chairperson Jeanne Jenzano.

Saturday, July 25, the Honeybrook Golf Club at 1422 Cambridge Road hosted an all-day music festival on the greens to benefit the Honey Brook Food Pantry.

<![CDATA[Honey Brook siblings support non-profit cause, Bridge of Hope, with lemonade stand fundraiser]]> Two Honey Brook siblings, Kaleigh and Mason Horst, encouraged members of the community to make a difference on July 23 with a lemonade stand fundraiser to help Bridge of Hope Lancaster and Chester Counties, a non-profit that works with single moms who are homeless.

The kids, whose mother works for Bridge of Hope, wanted to do something fun this summer but also wanted to "help the families that mommy works with.

<![CDATA[Morgantown Village Library celebrates 50th anniversary, honors two surviving founders]]> The Village Library has decided to commemorate the 50 year anniversary of the Village Library and honor the two surviving founding members, Mary Bamberger and Sylvia Firth.

This event will take place at the Summer Reading Finale on Wednesday, Aug. 12. It is appropriate to combine these two events as the summer theme is "Every Hero has a Story", and these women are the local heroines who helped to get a library started in Morgantown, despite people telling them that it would be too difficult.

Teachers, students and parents came together to prepare the ground and plant various vegetables that will support the TWFP. The beans are ready! Later in the summer, we will have other vegetables in this garden adjacent to the elementary playground.

Whenever she left for work, and we didn't have school, I'd sneak into her bedroom and try on her clothes. Then I'd dance and swirl in front of the floor length mirror in her room.

That was the extent of my dancing until ninth grade.

<![CDATA[PERSON TO PERSON - IMPACT: Dogs will be Dogs]]> The year was 1960, and I looked upon Miss McKee's ninth grade English class as a big waste of time. Even though I sat near the front of the classroom, I just couldn't write the spelling down letter for letter that she was writing on the blackboard. Who was going to use all those characters for mythology anyway? My spelling was so bad; she told me my parents should take me to an eye doctor (I'd try the more technical name, but I'd probably misspell it still today) to have my eyes checked.
