Dressed in a suit with white button down shirt, tie and slacks, Dee performed with his six person band including guitars, horns and drums at the Blast Furnace Blues Festival in January of this year.

Participation in the Cooperation Agreement allows the municipalities to share municipal equipment and to jointly bid and contract public works projects.

<![CDATA[Driver charged with being on drugs in crash that killed Berks CEO]]>

A 56-year-old Berks County man allegedly was speeding and driving his pickup truck under the influence of a combination of prescription drugs when he struck and killed an area business executive during her morning jog on a rural road, according to state police.

Mark David Miller, of the 200 block of South View Road, Richmond Township, was charged Thursday, July 24, with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence of a controlled substance, homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering another person, reckless and careless driving and driving at an unsafe speed in connection with the 7:27 a.

Children and parents packed into Kutztown Community Library for butterfly expert Rick Mikula's presentation July 24.

Excitement was high and many found keeping quiet a challenge.

Grace Flyte, 6, Kutztown, brought her own chrysalis to the program and even had her nose tickled by a butterfly.

The Strikers relied on team effort and talented balance of strong defense, incredible pitching and big bats to beat the Vienna Stars (VA), Xtreme Fastpitch (PA), NJ Pride (NJ), Orange Crush (DE), VA Crushers (VA), Ashburn Shooting Stars (VA) and the Banshees (PA) - who they also played in the championship game and won by a score of 3-0.
