With an initial deficit of over $1.7 million, supervisors have been in discussions to make cuts, including reducing the police department.

The police were asked to reduce their budget, making cuts of $273,500 since the last meeting on the issue, but warnings from Chief of Police Christopher Neidert suggest that no further reductions should be made.

<![CDATA[Holiday house tour raises money for Exeter Community Library]]> The Women's Club of Exeter Township will host its 17th annual Holiday House Tour on Dec. 7 from 1 to 5 p.m. The event will raise as much as $3,000 for the Exeter Community Library, which is the primary beneficiary of charitable funds raised by the Women's Club.

The tour will allow attendees to get a sneak peak of some of the most architecturally and historically stunning homes in the Exeter Township area.

<![CDATA[Fleetwood Girl Scouts plant fall mums at Willow Creek Elementary]]> Fleetwood Girl Scout Brownie Troop 1793 planted mums at Willow Creek Elementary School in Fleetwood.

The girls planted mums along the building as well as around the sign along the road. The PTA provided a gift card from Esbenshades for the troop to use to purchase the plants. Each girl in the troop was asked to bring a spade and their own watering can to get the job done.
