It was a six run inning that ended it all for the Kutztown Area High School softball team. In a PIAA Class AA quarterfinal round game, Nanticoke scored six runs in the top of the first against the Cougars and then went on to win the game, 8-4 on June 7.

For the Lady Cougars, it ended a season in which they won a district championship and owned an overall record of 20-6.

A two-run double and an RBI triple helped Nanticoke jump out to a 6-0 lead, one that Kutztown could not recover from.
