Back to Church Weekend 2012 is themed ‘the three secret steps to a healthy spiritual life’. You may be intrigued by the title because you may need a more healthy life in all areas: spiritually, physically and emotionally. We all have had our share of struggles, bad breaks, disappointments and loss that have all taken their toll on us. Many of us have stood back and looked at our lives and wondered ‘how do I get out of this slump I am in?’
‘The fact of the matter is the answer is much simpler than one might imagine,’ said Pastor Dave Grohof Living Rock Bible Church. ‘Summer is now over and many are back to school and this is a perfect time to get some other pieces of life in order.’
Groh said that Living Rock Bible Churchis holding a ‘Back to Church Weekend’ September 15 and 16. They have expanded upon the national ‘back to church Sunday’ that 12,000+ churches are participating in coast to coast and made it a weekend event. The overall message is simple.
‘Life was intended to be enjoyed, and can be when the right pieces are in place’ says Groh. ‘This back to church weekend emphasizes how to gain a healthy spiritual life.’
Living Rock invites the community to a day of fun on Saturday, Sept. 25 at their facility at 2672 Ridge Road (Rt. 23), in Elverson, just east of the intersection of Rt. 345 and Rt. 23. There will be a moon bounce, obstacle course, face painting, games for the kids and the family, live music, food and more. The fun begins at 3p.m. and will wrap up at 8p.m.
‘This event coincides nicely with the completion of our recently renovated areas that will be open for the public to tour,’ Pastor Groh said.
The next day (Sunday, September 16) at 10a.m.they will continue the ‘back to church weekend’ theme beginning with the series titled ‘The three secret steps to a healthy spiritual life’.
Groh said’there are solutions to life that the Bible offers that I find many people do not know of. We will unpack these simple yet powerful truths on Sundays morning during our series.’
