Bally students partcipate in Monarch Watch

St. Francis Academy third grade students Brynn Delaney (left) and Theresa Patterson coax a female monarch butterfly out of the butterfly habitat. The students are participating in the Monarch Watch project and watched the butterfly develop from an egg. It was tagged and the number recorded.

Third graders at St. Francis Academy in Bally recently released one of nine monarchs that they watched through its metamorphosis to adulthood. They released it after tagging it and recording the number with Project Monarch Watch.
