Fleetwood Borough Police
Oct. 9 at 5:12 a.m., police report a motor vehicle collision on Kutztown Road in Fleetwood. Charles Sluzenski IV was on his way home from work heading north on Route 222 (Kutztown Road) when he fell asleep. His 2003 Chevy Silverado crossed over the center turn lane and the southbound lane, then struck and sheared a Verizon utility pole on the southbound shoulder. His vehicle continued and hit two parked cars, struck some mailboxes and a business sign. The Silverado came to a rest against a MetEd utility pole. Sluzenski was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seat belt.
Kutztown Borough Police Department
Recently the Kutztown Police Department has investigated several night time residential burglaries. In some of the burglaries the suspects entered through an unlocked door. Residents are reminded to lock all doors and windows at night and when not at home. Additionally, if you see or hear anything suspicious dial 911 to call the police. Sept. 28: Police investigated the report of Theft from Vehicle after items were reported missing from a vehicle while it was parked at a residence in the 400 block of W. Main St.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a vehicle after it was reported that the windshield was damaged while the vehicle was parked at a residence in the 400 block of W. Main St.
Police arrested Allen James, 22, of Kutztown, for Violation of the Borough Noise Ordinance following an incident that occurred at 118 W. Main St. A Disruptive Conduct Report was also issued.
Sept. 29: Police arrested Evan Lewis, 22, of Scranton, for Scattering Rubbish following an incident that occurred in the 200 block of Sacony Alley.
Police arrested Brendan Downey, 18, of Hawley, for Violation of the Borough Peace and Good Order Ordinance following an incident that occurred in the 300 block of W. Main St.
Police arrested Steven Baist, 21, of Hatboro, for Public Drunkenness following an incident that occurred in the 200 block of W. Main St.
Police arrested Shawn Murtha, 19, of Philadelphia, for Violation of the Borough Open Container Ordinance following an incident that occurred at the intersection of S. Whiteoak St. and Sander Alley.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a vending machine after it was reported to have been knocked over at Kutztown Bottling Works, 78 S. Whiteoak St.
Sept. 30: Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a bird bath after it was reported damaged at a residence in the 600 block of College Garden Dr.
Police are investigating the report of Vandalism to the menís restroom after items were report damaged at the Kutztown Borough Community Park, 440 E. Main St.
After completing their investigation, police arrested Douglass Traylor, 24, of Fleetwood; Jason Slick, 24, of Kutztown, and Johnny Vandyke, 22, of Kutztown, for Discharge of Firearm Prohibited following an incident that occurred at Wells Fargo Bank, 301 W. Main St.
Police arrested Kyree Madyun, 20, of West Chester, for Violation of the Borough Peace and Good Order Ordinance following an incident that occurred in the 400 block of W. Main St.
Police arrested Luke Loughery, 18, of Wantage, N.J., for Purchase, Consumption, Possession or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages following an incident that occurred in the 100 block of W. Main St.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a fence after it was reported to have been broken following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 200 block of W. Walnut St.
Oct. 1: After completing their investigation, police arrested Symere Butler, 21, of Pottstown, for Disorderly Conduct following an incident that occurred in the 200 block of W. Main St.
Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to a Traffic Signal Control Box located at the intersection of W. Main and S. Whiteoak streets.
Oct. 3: Police investigated the report of an Attempted Burglary following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 300 block of Sander Alley.
