Spooky Nook Sports puts local sports fans & artists to the test

Set to open in 2013, Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster County will be the nation’s largest indoor sports complex. Yet before their door even open they are creating competition by presenting kids to showcase their love of art and sports by creating and designing the Spooky Nook Sports mascot.
“We want to try to get the whole community involved in the process,” Sales and Marketing Director Ben Halvorsen said. “We realize that not everyone loves sports, and that’s okay. We are going to offer so much more than just sports, so we thought what better way to get local residents involved than by asking them to design a mascot for us.”
Krissy Wrobel, a marketing assistant with the ultimate multi-million dollar arena, said, “We are located on Spooky Nook Rd. in Manheim, Lancaster County. This is the former site of one of the old Armstrong buildings. We are currently in the process of renovating the old building that has sat vacant for many years. With 60 acres of indoor and outdoor entertainment and adventure for the whole family, we will be the largest sports facility in the country.”
