They’re been waiting for it all year.”Hurry mom! Hurry!” one child said as they made the trek from the car to the Quakertown little league fields.

Young and old, the proud players of Sports 4 Special Kids entered into their sixth season on Sunday afternoon as the four teams took to the field and began another year of baseball.

The league gives any player with a love of the game a chance to play, no matter what physical or mental handicap they may have.

Their mission is to give anyone a chance to participate in America’s pastime.

Senator Rob Wonderling was present to kick off the season and throw the first pitch, which turned into him throwing the first inning.

And, of course, the Panther was present to welcome all the players to another season.
