Fall into Winter Studio Tour showcases local artists

The tour began in 1979 with a fall open house at Rohrbach Pottery, the studio of Linda Austerberry, ceramic artist and former Boyertown Area High School teacher. Visitors of the pottery enjoyed seeing where things were made and purchasing art directly from the artist. Several years later, in an effort to promote the arts in the Boyertown area, Rohrbach-Austerberry developed a tour of local artists studios.

Two years ago, Rohrbach-Austerberry teamed up with members of Studio B, the home of Boyertowns Art and Activities Alliance, a committee of Building a Better Boyertown, and Danielle Fisher, owner of Clayote, a clay studio formerly located in Boyertown to create the Fall into Winter Tour.

Now in its third year, the tour--held the weekend before Thanksgivinghighlights the work of seven studios and galleries featuring affordable art and crafts produced by over 50 local artists.
