Berks-Lehigh Regional Police
Between Dec. 10 to Dec. 16, Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Department responded to 185 assignments, 38 assists, 22 accidents, three animal cases, 12 alarms, 30 EMS calls, one fire call, and five traffic citations.

Dec. 12: criminal mischief to residence on Franklin Street, TOpton.

Dec. 14: theft of property on Smith Street, Topton.

Dec. 15: domestic disturbance on Kutztown Road, Maxatawny.

March 25, 2011 to Dec. 11, 2012: unknown actors fraudulently accessed an Albany Township resident’s bank account and paid for services using the victim’s funds.

Dec. 11: Phillip Pittman, 23, Quakertown, was traveling west on I-78 at mile marker 36.4 in Greenwich Township in the left lane when a vehicle in the right lane moved into the left lane in an attempt to pass another vehicle behind a large truck and cut off Pittman. This caused Pittman to apply his brakes suddenly causing his vehicle to hit the concrete center median with its front driver side fender. He then drove his vehicle to the side of the road. No injuries reported.
