Kutztown Borough Police Department
Nov. 30: Police investigated the Report of Theft from Vehicle after items were reported missing from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked at a residence in the 200 block of College Blvd.
Dec. 1: Police investigated the report of Vandalism to vehicles after mirrors were knocked off several vehicles parked in the 300 block of W. Walnut St.
Police arrested Katelyn Ludwick, 19, of Mantua, N.J., for Violation of the Borough Noise Ordinance following an incident that occurred at 417 W. Walnut St. A Disruptive Conduct Report was also issued.
Police arrested William Nestor, 22, of West Chester, for Criminal Mischief/Tampering with Property and Public Drunkenness following an incident that occurred in the 00 block of S. Baldy St.
After completing their investigation, police arrested Joshua Kulp, 25, of Emmaus, for Theft of Services and Disorderly Conduct following an incident that occurred at Jaz and Nate Steaks, 9 E. Main St.
Police arrested Allison Hauler, 18, of Yardley, for Purchase, Consumption, Possession or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages following an incident that occurred in the 400 block of College Blvd.
After completing their investigation, police arrested Alexis Arnold-Beverly, 20, of North Wales, PA for Purchase, Consumption, Possession or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages following an incident that occurred in the 200 block of W. Main St.
Dec. 2: Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to a light pole in the 200 block of W. Main St.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to Christmas lights after they were reported to have been cut at a residence in the 300 block of Luella Dr.
Police investigated the report of Theft of lawn decorations after they were reported missing from a residence in the 500 block of Kemp Street, a residence in the 400 block of Highland Ave. and a residence in the 400 block of W. Walnut St.

After completing their investigation, police arrested William McMonigle, 23, of Drexel Hill, for Terroristic Threats and Disorderly Conduct following an incident that occurred at Shorty’s Bar, 272 W. Main St.
Dec. 6: Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a vehicle after it was reported to have been damaged following an incident that occurred while the vehicle was parked at a residence in the 00 block of Normal Ave.

Dec. 7: After completing their investigation, police arrested Christopher Biney, 20, of Leesport; Yonis Santa-Mella, 22, of Nazareth, and Jesse Thomas, 19, of Allentown, for Burglary, Robbery/Threat of Serious Injury and related charges following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 00 block of Bieber Alley.
Dec. 8: Police are investigating the report of an Assault following an incident that occurred in the 100 block of W. Main St.

Police arrested Matthew Pirollo, 20, of Warminster, for Violation of the Borough Noise Ordinance following an incident that occurred at 56 Noble St. A Disruptive Conduct Report was also issued.
Police arrested Paul Nuebeck, 20, of Levittown, N.Y., for Minor Presenting False Identification for Liquor following an incident that occurred at Shorty’s Bar, 272 W. Main St.
Dec. 9: Police investigated the report of a Burglary after an item was reported missing from a residence in the 500 block of Briar Circle South.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to newspapers after they were reported to have been cut and thrown about following an incident that occurred in the 00 block of S. Constitution Blvd.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a fence after it was reported to have been knocked down at a residence in the 400 block of Normal Ave.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a vehicle after it was reported that the rear windshield was broken while the vehicle was parked at a residence in the 300 block of Normal Ave.

Dec. 11: Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to a parking control sign located in the 400 block of W. Walnut St.

After completing their investigation, police arrested Zachary Nemeth, 22, of Blandon, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance and Period Required for Lighted Lamps following an incident that occurred in the 300 block of W. Main St.
Dec. 13: Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a stop ahead sign located in the 00 block of S. Baldy St.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a stop sign located in the 300 block of Sander Alley.
Dec. 14: Police arrested Matthew Sternleib, 23, of West Palm Beach, Fla., for Violation of the Borough Noise Ordinance following an incident that occurred at 446 W. Main St. A Disruptive Conduct Report was also issued.
Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to a street light pole located in the 100 block of W. Main St.
Dec. 15: Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a vehicle after it was reported that the driver side mirror was damaged while the vehicle was parked in a parking lot in the 200 block of W. Main St.
Police investigated the report of Theft from a Vehicle after an item was reported missing from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 00 block of S. Elm St.
Police investigated the report of Theft of Vehicle after a vehicle was reported missing from a residence in the 300 block of E. Walnut St. The vehicle was later recovered.

Dec. 17: Police are investigating the report of a Burglary after items were reported missing following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 500 block of Briar Circle South.
Dec. 18: Police are investigating the report of Theft of Services following an incident that occurred in the 700 block of College Blvd.
State Police
Dec. 16: 3:30 to 3:57 p.m., a heavily oxidized Thompson Center Arms Muzzle Loader Rifle, .50 caliber, was found in brush along a wooded area about a quarter mile north of Old Route 22 and Green Acres Road in Greenwich Township. A serial number query was unsuccessful in finding the rifle’s owner. Anyone with information regarding the owner’s identity, contact State Police, Hamburg, at 610-562-6885, reference L04-1254023.
Dec. 23: Crash on I-78 east at mile marker 37.9 in Greenwich Township. Due to slowing traffic, Joan Romine, 61, Pittsburgh, failed to stop in time and her vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by John Brooks, 40, Schnecksville, who was traveling east in the left lane. Vehicles were driven off to the side of the roadway.
Romine suffered minor injuries and Kutztown EMS transported her to Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Brooks was not injured. Both were wearing seat belts.
Virginville Fire Company assisted at the scene.
Dec. 24: 7:28 p.m. crash on I-78 east near mile marker 42.5 in Greenwich Township. Leroy Thomas, 64, Washington, D.C. was traveling in the left lane and attempted to pass a vehicle in the right which then began to loose control. Thomas attempted to avoid a crash and in doing so lost control of his vehicle due to wet roadway conditions. The Chevy Suburban spun clockwise while still in the left lane, then slid still spinning across the right lane and shoulder, then struck an embankment, continued to spin, then rolled over onto its passenger side coming to rest blocking both lanes.
Thomas was transported by Kutztown EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, for minor back pain. He was wearing a seat belt.
Patriot Towing towed the vehicle. Hamburg EMS and PennDOT maintenance road crew assisted at the scene.
Seven Killed in Christmas Holiday Crashes
Seven people were killed and 315 others were injured in the 1,336 crashes investigated by Pennsylvania State Police during Christmas holiday driving period.
From Dec. 21 through Dec. 25, State Police investigated a total of 1,336 crashes. Of those crashes, 108 were alcohol-related and involved one fatality. Also, two of the seven people who died in crashes were not wearing seat belts.
Troopers made 348 arrests for driving under the influence and issued 2,152 speeding citations during the holiday period. State police also cited 313 individuals for failure to wear seat belts and issued citations to 37 drivers for failing to restrain children properly in child safety seats.
During last year’s Christmas holiday driving period, five people were killed and 169 others were injured in 509 crashes investigated by state police.
The crash numbers cover only those incidents investigated by state police and do not include statistics on crashes to which other law-enforcement agencies responded.

Berks-Lehigh Regional Police
Between Dec. 17 and Dec. 23, Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Department responded to 194 assignments, 40 assists, 19 accidents, three animal cases, 23 alarms, 27 EMS calls, five fire calls, one open door or window, and four traffic citations.
Dec. 21: domestic disturbance on Klines Corner Road, Maxatawny.
Dec. 21: theft of property on Kutztown Road, Maxatawny.
Dec. 22: burglary on Miller Drive, Maxatawny.
Dec. 23: domestic disturbance on Lifestyle Lane, Maxatawny.
