Honey Brook Twp, PA—On Sunday, January 27, 2013 the Chapel at Tel Hai will be filled with the sounds of exceptional vocal performance by three tenors—Cody Austin, William Davenport and John Viscardi. Accompanied on piano by Jeffrey Uhlig, their program of opera, Broadway show tunes and Neapolitan songs will thrill and delight the audience. Their appearance on Tel Hai’s campus will start the new year in a truly spectacular way.

Coordinated by returning favorite, Jeffrey Uhlig, the three tenors bring a variety of operatic experience and years of musical study and preparation. Cody Austin, a Texas native, holds a bachelors degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and continued with graduate work at Indiana University. He is a graduate of the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia and was recently featured in a special “Tribute to Mario Lanza” concert at Verizon Hall in the Kimmel Center with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops. He made his 2012 debut with the Opera Company of Philadelphia in Verdi’s Otello.

William Davenport of Maryland has been described as a “lyric tenor with Italianate style.” He completed his studies at the Peabody Conservatory of Music and performed frequently with Peabody Opera. Recent performances have included productions with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and the Chesapeake Chamber Opera where he appeared as Romeo in Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette. He will be joining the Maryland Symphony Orchestra for a night of opera next April as part of their Masterworks series.
