LEHIGH VALLEY, PA – Miller-Keystone Blood Center is proud to celebrate and honor volunteer blood donors during the entire month of January, National Blood Donor Month. Miller-Keystone Blood Center will be giving back to our donors throughout the month; Donor Appreciation Give-a-ways will be held every Monday at our fixed sites and mobiles, T-shirts will be given to all donors registered at our fixed site locations every Friday and all donors who register to donate at any fixed site location or on any blood drive between January 1 and January 31 will be entered in a raffle to win a $500 Visa gift card. The Visa gift card can be used anywhere where Visa debit cards are accepted.

‘We are extremely happy to be able to thank all our loyal blood donors during this month that is dedicated to all who help save lives. Our donors make it possible to supply to our 25 local hospitals and save lives in our community every day,’ says Donor Resources Manager, Marsha Springel.

Miller-Keystone Blood Center invites you to take this opportunity to plan blood drives for 2013 and encourage your employees to donate blood throughout the year. The New Year provides a perfect opportunity to promote blood donation in the spirit of renewal and new beginnings. Encourage blood donation as a New Year’s resolution. Miller-Keystone Blood Center is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community blood center that has served Eastern Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey since 1971. Miller-Keystone Blood Center is headquartered in Bethlehem PA, and currently operates donor centers in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Lionville and Reading, and also hosts more than 2,000 regional bloodmobiles annually.

If you are in good health, 17 years of age or older, and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, you are most likely eligible to donate blood. There is no upper age limit for blood donors.
