A fugitive wanted on charges of sexual abuse of children was found at Saucony Campgrounds in Kutztown.

Berks County Detectives from the Child Abuse Unit learned on Jan. 16 that fugitive Brett Correll, along with Julythza Rivera-Rondon, 26, Shillington, and their 5-year-old son, were concealing their whereabouts at the Saucony Campgrounds, 1538 Saucony Road, Kutztown, according to a release by the Berks County District Attorney’s Office.

There was an active warrant of arrest for Correll on charges of Sexual Abuse of Children.

According to the report, Rivera-Rondon was aware of the active warrant and previously told detectives she was unaware of his whereabouts. A surveillance team viewed Rivera-Rondon leaving the campground with her juvenile son. She was taken into custody and later released.

County detectives, along with Fleetwood Police and the Berks County Emergency Response Team, apprehended Correll without incident.

Rivera-Rondon has been charged with Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution, and Endangering Welfare of Children.

Rivera-Rondon surrendered herself to Berks County Detectives on Jan. 17. She was accompanied by her attorney. Detectives escorted Rivera-Rondon to the Berks County Sheriff’s Department Central Processing Unit for processing and video arraignment. The bail amount is unknown at this time.
