Rep. David Maloney (R-Berks) today announced on Tuesday, Jan. 15, that he has been appointed to serve on the House State Government, Commerce, Local Government, Game and Fisheries, and Children and Youth committees for the 2013-14 legislative session.
“I look forward to addressing the difficult challenges that face Pennsylvania through my service on these committees,” Maloney said. “I will continue to work on the challenges that unfunded mandates present to local governments, and to ensure local and county governments respect the rights of private property owners.”
The State Government Committee is responsible for reviewing legislation dealing with all aspects of state government, including proposed amendments to the Pennsylvania Constitution, statewide initiatives and referendums, legislative redistricting, election code reform, lobbyist disclosure, and campaign financing.
