Boys’ Basketball
The Boyertown High School boys’ basketball team lost three games last week to extend the losing streak to five. The Bears are now 4-5 in PAC-10 play and 5-13 overall.

The Bears began the week on Jan. 18 when they played Phoenixville in a league contest. A good third quarter propelled the Phantoms to a 68-61 victory over Boyertown.

Phoenixville held a 30-27 halftime lead, then broke things open a bit in the third quarter when they outscored the locals, 19-11. The Bears had a 23-point fourth quarter but were unable to mount a comeback.
