Garden Spot Village, Lancaster Bible College, offer Senior Learning Program

NEW HOLLAND, Pa. — Garden Spot Village and Lancaster Bible College announce a partnership to offer adult continuing education classes on the Garden Spot Village campus in New Holland.

“We believe offering courses at Garden Spot Village will help fulfill our mission and vision with senior adults as well as with northeast Lancaster County,” said Brian Pinzer, associate dean for biblical enrichment at Lancaster Bible College.

“We are blessed to be able to offer these opportunities for enrichment to our residents and neighbors in the surrounding community,” said Colleen Musselman, director of life enrichment at Garden Spot Village.

The program will start with two courses. “We would eventually like to offer the same courses and full certificate offerings at Garden Spot Village that we offer on the Lancaster Bible College campus,” Pinzer said.

The first two course offerings will be “Be Joyful: Philippians,” a study of the Bible’s Book of Philippians, and “Biblical Counseling for the Whole Person,” designed to help develop the skills and abilities to offer Christ-centered answers to problems.

The classes begin on Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will run for eight consecutive Wednesday evenings.

Each class is valued at two continuing education units (CEUs). The CEUs can be used to complete a Biblical Enrichment certificate at Lancaster Bible College, transferred to a bachelor’s degree program at the school or simply used for personal enrichment.

The program is open to the public. The cost is $60 per CEU, plus a $10 registration fee. A tuition scholarship is available for Garden Spot Village residents. Printed and online registration forms are available at For information, call 717-560-8282.

Garden Spot Village is located at 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland.
