March is here roaring, like a lion, at least on the local music scene. WTIM friends Jim Meck, Bill Koss Combo, STORM, Black Hat Boris, Stephanie Grace and Three on the Tree are all checking in this week! I’m sure there is not going to be enough of me to get to all of these shows so get out there and tell them WTIM sent you! I’m adding the Honey Badgers to our favorite band name list, they’ll be at Blind Hartmans.

On the big stages I’d love to pick Queensryche or George Thorogood, but due to pressure from Megan in classified (just kidding) I’m picking Marshall Tucker with special guest Swampdawomp (Megan’s cousin is in this band). I DO thoroughly enjoy The MT Band and from what I’ve heard of Swampdawomp (kind of a mash up of Metallica and Skynyrd) they are going to be worth hearing. Locally there isn’t a bad show listed so I can’t make a logical choice, but then again no one has ever accused me of being logical or sane. Just get out there!

Do you want to see your band or venue listed here at WTIM send and email to tdietterick@journalregister.com with the particulars (at least 2 weeks in advance ) and we’ll get it out there.
