Pack 367 chartered at New Hanover Evangelical Lutheran Church recently had a fantastic outing to the Philadelphia Zoo for a Roars and Snores program where the boys got to meet several of the zoo keepers, animals and staff members for an overnighter in the Tree House.
They spent time with two other Cub Scout Packs from New Jersey and a Girl Scout Group from Pennsylvania. Fun times were had while playing games, doing crafts and taking a night hike through the zoo.
The Scouts learned about recycling, reusing, and sustainability along with visiting with an armadillo, an owl, a tortoise, and many more animals throughout the zoo. They also saw a new baby monkey and a group of kangaroos. Did you know that polar bears fur is clear and their skin is black? We didn’t either.
