Sound of music fills Kutztown High auditorium

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

The sound of music could be heard coming from the Kutztown High School auditorium on Feb. 22. Thirty students from 2nd grade through 11th grade performed everything from solos to duets to a little jazz combo. They sang, played the piano, violin, flute, clarinet, alto sax, string bass, vibes, bassoon, trumpet and drum set. Music included pop tunes, classical music, nursery rhymes, movie themes and jazz. Each performance was met by rousing applause from the small, but enthusiastic audience. The performance was coordinated by elementary band director, Kathy Mohler and if you missed it, you missed a real treat. Music is indeed live and well in Kutztown!
