Kutztown's Logan Yerger competes at the state gymnastics championships

Logan Yerger, a student at Kutztown Elementary School, is a member of the Parkettes National Training Center gymnastics team, based in Allentown. He competed at the PA. State Gymnastics Championships on March 16. This year’s annual event was hosted by Lehigh Valley Sports Academy, Allentown.

Logan has been a gymnast for three years and is currently competing as a Level 6 gymnast. During the Pa. State Championships, Logan earned a silver medal on the Still Rings, Bronze Medal on the Floor Exercise, Bronze Medal on the Pommel Horse, and fifth on the Parallel Bars. Based on his All Around score Logan took fourth overall on the podium. In the process he earned selection for the second year in a row to the Pa. State All-Star team.

On April 26 and 27, gymnasts from PA, NJ, WV, VA, DE, MD and NY are scheduled to compete at Mid-Atlantic Regionals which will be held in Marlboro, NJ. Logan will represent Pennsylvania, along with four other Level 6 boys from across the state.

Logan was recently nominated to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC) to be held in Washington, DC.
