Another new downtown business now calls Boyertown its home.

Cori and Wayne Plennert, husband and wife team, recently decided it was time to open their own gym: Kidnastix.

On Friday, March 22, Building a Better Boyertown joined the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce and Berks Mont Business Association to welcome a new business opening in downtown Boyertown through a ribbon cutting ceremony at Kidnastix.

‘This is a non competitive tumbling facility,’ said Plennert, ‘it’s a place for the community to come for a positive environment.’

With over 20 years of experience, the Plennerts seek to accommodate all ages and skill sets in the Boyertown area. Some of the equipment on site includes balance beams, mini-trampolines, single bar, parallel bars, panel mats, cheese mats, tunnels, hula-hoops and beanbags.

According to Cori Plennert, the idea to open their own gym sparked as interest grew around their a mobile program which they have maintained for the past five years.

Their logo, which consists of a silhouette, is actually a silhouette of their daughter. According to the couple, there were more than one hundred photos taken in order to grasp the perfect shot for their personalized graphic. The image was then hand painted onto the back wall of Kidnastix, LLC. located at 112 E. Philadelphia Avenue.
