The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Twin Valley is hosting a Survivors Tea on Saturday, April 6th, from 1:00-3:00pm at the Village Library of Morgantown. To celebrate the arrival of spring we encourage attendees to wear their favorite hat, festive tie or brightest, boldest outfit. Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served.

A survivor is anyone who has ever heard the words, ‘You have cancer,’ no matter what stage of cure, remission or treatment they are in presently. It’s a great way to socialize with other cancer survivors and share experiences, as well as provide inspiration for others to fight back. Information on the many services provided by The American Cancer Society will be available.

RSVP requested but not required, walk-ins welcome. To RSVP or for questions about the event, contact Jen DiArcangelo at 610-273-7679 or jen.diarcangelo@msn.com.

Relay For Life is a worldwide annual fundraising event that benefits The American Cancer Society. Teams raise money and take turns walking or running around a track for up to 24 hours. All money raised at Relay For Life goes towards the ACS mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. Admission is free to the public.

A few programs that ACS funds are Hope Lodge which offers temporary housing to cancer patients and caregivers at no cost during cancer treatments away from home, also Road to Recovery which provides transportation for patients who otherwise can’t drive or get rides, and of course all the research to find new and better ways to screen for, treat, and one day eradicate cancer. For more information on these and other programs, contact the ACS day or night at 1-800-227-2345 or visit www.cancer.org
