There were crafters galore at the Daniel Boone Optimist Club held their annual craft show at the Daniel Boone Middle School March 23.
The event showcased over 120 local crafters who specialize in woodwork, photography, painting, soaps, lawn decorations, and glass pendants, to name a few.
For Barbara Zittlau, of Glenside, it was her first experience at a craft show. Zittlau created door decorations called flip-flop wreaths.
Seeing a flip-flop wreath on eBay, she said it was very plain and without decoration.
That’s when she went to work creating her own wreaths that were much more colorful, holiday and seasonally themed and decorated.
Finding out she would be one of the crafters at the show, she recalled, “I was extremely excited.” Zittlau sold a third of her door decorations at the craft fair.
The crafters filled the high school hallways with tables of crafts and drew many people from throughout the area.
