The Hamburg Jaycees held there annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 30 at Edenburg Park. The event was attended by a multitude of families and hundreds of kids.
“It’s like finding the golden ticket in Willy Wonka,” yelled a parent from across the field to their child as they searched for the prize egg, which promised a basket of candy for all of the winners.
The event itself is not very long as the children storm out and grab the eggs.It seems as though each egg hunt is over in a matter of seconds. There were four age divisions, 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12.
Even though there is only one winner for each division, every kid went home happy as each participant received a candy bag.
According to multiple parents, going to the egg hunt is an annual tradition. Bringing their children from infants all the way to twelve was common among most parents at the event.
