Elverson's Frey earns the title of United States Marine

Private First Class Kyle A. Frey, 23, of Elverson, PA, graduated from the United States Marine Corps recruit training (boot camp) at Marine Corps Recruiting Depot/Parris Island, South Carolina, on March 15, 2013.
At Parris Island PFC Frey successfully completed 13 weeks of basic training as one of the 62 recruits in Training Platoon 1016. While in recruit training he received the Rifle Expert badge and served as a fire team leader.
Following a ten day home leave, which included a party in his honor where he was surrounded by family and friends, he reported to Camp Lejeune, NC, for two months of training at the School of Infantry’s Infantry Training Battalion. His permanent duty station is unknown at this date.
PFC Frey is the son of Todd and Marla Frey of Elverson, PA, the brother of Ryan and Tara Frey of Geigertown, and the grandson of Donald and Aurelie Frey of Elverson and Henry and Anna Troyer of Strasburg, OH.
PFC Frey received his high school diploma through the Community Homeschoolers Learning Group in 2007, and played for the Twin Valley Ice Hockey team. In 2011 he graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, and also served as assistant captain for the university’s ice hockey team.
