Two Fleetwood men were arrested on homicide charges. Berks and Lehigh county district attorneys held a press conference today, April 9, at 2 p.m.
Michael and Maurice Wilkins of Pricetown Road, Fleetwood, have been charged with three counts of murder of the first degree, three counts of murder of the third degree, criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, persons not to possess, use, manufacture, control, sell or transfer firearms, possessing instruments of crime & kidnapping.
Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams and Lehigh County District Attorney James B. Martin and the Reading Police Department announce the arrests of Michael and Maurice Wilkins for the murder of Rafael Alequin and Dario Mclemore in the 1100 block of Franklin St., Reading, and the kidnapping and murder of Jennifer Velez-Negron whose body was found burning in the 000 block of Chestnut Hill Road in Salisbury Township, Lehigh County. Velez-Negron is alleged to be a witness to the homicide that occurred in Reading on Dec. 4, 2012 and had been involved in a drug transaction that led to the Dec. 4th murders.
